Vancrest was founded in 1960 by Dr. E. E. White when he opened one of Ohio’s first Geriatric Hospitals in the former Van Wert County Hospital. His mission was to deliver high quality patient centered care to the rapidly aging population. His vision carries on today and is embraced in our mission statement C.A.R.E. – Customer Focused, Attitude, Responsibility and Empathy.

We are a regional full service senior health care provider operating in western Ohio encompassing 13 facilities with construction beginning shortly in Ada, Ohio for our 14th. We serve over 800 nursing home residents and have an additional 300 assisted living apartments. We provide a seamless continuum of care by utilizing our integrated affiliates. Therapy Solutions provides therapy (Physical, Occupational and Speech) in our facilities as well as in the home. Fountain Park Home Care and Home Health Care Solutions provides personalized one on one care in the comfort of your home. We also provide medications through Pharmacy Solutions.
