The Skilled Caring Center, located on Level 3 of Memorial Hospital’s Barrett Building, is a fully independent, short-term, skilled nursing residence that provides 24-hour professional nursing care as well as physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy; social services; activities and nutrition services. Therapeutic, religious and entertaining programs are provided by the activities staff, and assistance with admission, discharge and transfers is provided by social workers as well as assistance with Medicare and Medicaid benefits for skilled nursing care.

The Skilled Caring Center was recently surveyed by the Indiana State Department of Health and found to be deficiency-free according to state and federal regulations. Other honors and recognition that the Skilled Caring Center has received:

This score means that Skilled Caring Center of Memorial Hospital is rated much above average overall based on health inspections, nursing home staffing and quality measures.
Skilled Caring Center was found to be in substantial compliance with the requirements of participations 13 out of 16 annual surveys since 2001, and with no substandard quality of care or immediate jeopardy citing in 16 years!
