Miona Springs was a meeting place of the Euchee Indians who inhabited Macon County in years past. The Native Americans considered this area to be sacred for its healing springs and waters. In the 1800's, Miona Springs developed into a local resort area. People traveled from all walks of life to enjoy fellowship with others and reap the healing benefits of the naturally flowing mineral springs.

These springs are no longer available, but the spirit of fellowship and healing continues with the Miona Geriatric & Dementia Center.
