Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing facility nestled on the edge of the community in a quiet neighborhood. Our great room, with its vaulted ceiling and inviting fireplace, together with the personal items residents are encouraged to bring, creates a home-like atmosphere. As always, our goal is to promote the highest level of independence for our residents. Laurels Peak has assigned a special area containing rooms for those residents whose discharge to home or to a lower level of care is likely within 3 months of admission. In this Short Term Care Unit, residents generally are here to be rehabilitated and discharged to home, although some may require specialized care and/or services. Typical reasons for admission to this unit are: restorative physical, occupational and/or speech therapy needs; wound care needs; rehabilitative nursing care needs; and/or clinically complex care needs.
