Dakota Alpha is a twenty bed program serving brain-injured or physically disabled individuals. The program offers physical, occupational, and speech therapies, cognitive retraining, independent living skills training, social services, activities, and dietary services, and is staffed 24 hours per day by professional nursing staff. Residents must be screened for nursing care and demonstrate the potential and desire to develop a more independent lifestyle. The program is transitional in nature, meaning that it lasts anywhere from 6 to 24 months, customized to the individual needs of the resident.
