Since its inception, Good Samaritan Home has grown and evolved into a highly regarded Continuing Care Retirement Community. We work to accommodate your way of life and personal needs. Good Samaritan Home offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, short-term rehab, and special dementia care, all within one campus. The dream of Good Samaritan Home can be traced back to 1925, when two ladies conceived the idea for a home for the aged. After a Great Depression and World War, the idea took shape again, and the official campaign was launched by the United Church of Christ in 1953. With the help of area churches, organizations, and individuals, Good Samaritan Home opened its doors in 1957.

While the Home has continued to grow and evolve, one things has remained steadfast: the dream of providing compassionate Christian care to older adults in Quincy and the surrounding communities. Currently, Good Samaritan Home has 180 cottages, and houses almost 450 residents.

Providing outstanding care in a warm family atmosphere is only possible through the help of our community. Thanks to the thousands of people of who have supported the Home, we are able to continue to provide the highest level of care for our residents.
