United Methodist Communities at The Shores, a retirement and assisted living community, located in the seaside town of Ocean City, New Jersey. Also known as America’s Greatest Family Resort, it offers a Music Pier, Aquatic Center, golf course, private airport, beach, bay, boardwalk, marinas, fishing, and a lovely downtown complete with shops and restaurants.

The Shores, completely rebuilt and renovated in 2006, has newly designed beautiful interiors, two dining rooms, bistro, library, customized fitness programs, exercise center, porches and balconies, town hall, music room, atrium, courtyards, gift shop, and chapel.

Our person-centered living philosophy creates an environment which enhances dignity, choice, independence, stability and privacy. This less restrictive model allows residents to remain in their apartments to secure support. Our goal is to keep residents in their apartments for as long as possible, even as needs change.
